Info- Gloss Poker's Random Card Shuffler

We’re convinced that our card shuffling system is the best one out there. In fact, we’re so convinced that we built an online poker room around it.
Our "Quantum Photon Shuffler" is essentially an unpredictable, scientifically- proven quantum-mechanical process inside a special, impregnable, 'hack-proof' “black box”.

All online casinos use an RNG, but not all RNGs are the same. Of course, for security reasons, we can’t tell you exactly how ours works; but we can give you an idea:

  1. At the start of every game, the table asks for a freshly shuffled deck.
  2. The Shuffler requests a clean set of random data from the RNG.
  3. The RNG generates purely random data using the simple yet highly reliable and secure mathematical representation of the statistically random behavior of photons (particles of light) when fired through a half-mirror – or a mirror which allows only 50% of all light to be reflected while the other 50% passes through. As it is impossible to tell whether a photon will pass through or be reflected, the resulting data is a totally random string of ones and zeros, or binary code.
  4. Just to be sure, the Shuffler monitors the output of the RNG for randomness.
  5. If the data is clean, the string of code is translated into a freshly shuffled deck.
  6. This process is repeated again on the shuffled deck - i.e. a double shuffle.
  7. The cards are then sent along a secure, encrypted line to the table – a freshly double-shuffled deck.
  8. Before each card is dealt out, a re-shuffle of the remaining cards takes place. This means that each dealt card has been randomly drawn from a freshly reshuffled deck, each and every time.
  9. And so on, until the game is over and the next one begins. This process of continuous shuffling is a measure of added protection to ensure the highest level of randomness and security that can be obtained.
A unique system:

  • It is impossible for player actions to influence the cards.
  • It is impossible to predict future cards.
  • As all the shuffled data is sent along a secure, encrypted line, it is impossible to intercept card data
  • Hole cards are only visible to the players that hold them. Even our floor manager cannot see what you are holding until the game is finished.
  • The design is simple and therefore failsafe.
  • The “black box” shuffler is itself set within a totally secure system.
    • The only thing which can enter our shuffler is a secure, coded request for a freshly shuffled deck of cards.
    • The only thing which can come out of our shuffler is a shuffled deck of cards.

glosspoker works hard to give you the peace of mind you deserve – so you can concentrate on your game.

  • does this mean then that other online poker sites managers can see hole cards , because if this is the case then thats probably the reason why so many online players are getting screwed out of there cash.
if any sites managers can see hole cards then surely he could know someone who plays on his site and tells him over a mobile phone or instant messenger what cards the rest of the players have.surprise

where ever there are humans involved theres always a risk of cheating, after all, online poker software is only written by man so it can be manipulated.
online poker would be fantastic if these sites could proove that the trng's are random.

if i owned my online poker site id make every player install a webcam in front of them so everyone knows that there alone and no mobile phone in there hands.

Yes Nem, it does mean that.  If you have not heard, there have been several sites that have had "superusers" that have cheated.  They can see the hole cards.  Gloss Poker does not have those.  I know the owner of the site.  Even he does not have the ability to see the cards anyone holds.

what about bots? Every site uses them 2 fill up space & players also use them. They are undetectable by security

I for one do not believe that sites use bots to fill up space and none willingly allow them to play either. I also wonder what data you have to prove that bots are undetectable by security. The sites are making too much money to risk being caught. The Absolute and UB site blowups show how much it costs to recover from greedy individuals.

A question for our administrator who knows more about these things than I. What is the affect of the continuous shuffle on the odds? In a live game once the cards are shuffled the sequence of the cards is fixed. In a continuous shuffle obviously they are not. I would assume that there is not a large difference if it can be measured at all. I have wondered about this for a long time.

Well...to answer simply:  There would be no affect on odds at all.  Yes if a continuous shuffler is used the order changes, but the cards that are shuffled remain the same.  If 3 kings remain in the deck, 3 kings still remain.  Any particular card has a 2 percent (more like 1.9%) chance of showing up.  Whether it is shuffled around continuously or not does not matter.  Unless of course someone believes them to be personally lucky and a reshuffle would eliminate that luck....or does the reshuffle give them the luck they were looking for?  It's a circular argument.  I don't think it matters...

    Good question!  Thanks Bob!

Masterblast, bots are not used by reputable sites.  That would kill their business.  Gloss Poker does not use bots.
