Welcome!
Some of you might know me by IAMTHEROCK at most of the sites I play at.
I have been playing for a little over 2 years now and learned by watching them on TV. I have not read any books but after starting to hit the money on a regular basis in tournaments decided I needed to break the plateu and start to finish higher in the tourneys. So I recently started reading ""Harrinton on Holdem"" Which seems to be a very technical and mathematical book which fits me well because I love math. Who knows where that will take me from their.
I am very good tournament player but not a very good cash game player. So I guess stick with what works. I still have alot to learn but I seem to have a sense when I am beat in a hand and usually save alot of chips that way.
I hope I can add to the forum in my experiences to help others and hopefully I can learn from you also to improve my game. Good luck to all in their poker play. IAMTHEROCK
REMEMBER: The object of poker is to extract as many chips from your opponent while doing minimal damage to yourself. This will create a winning strategy in poker.
