We ARE Trying To Give Money Away

Read through all the promotions that are listed.  If you can't tell Gloss Forum is trying to give money away, you have not read the posts.  What we need, to be able to do this, is your help.  All we are asking our members to do is to inform their friends that play online poker, or have thought about playing online poker, about this forum and Gloss Poker.  There are ways that you can get money from Gloss Forum by helping.  If your friends sign up and play at Gloss Poker through our banner, we are given a portion of the rake from Gloss Poker and we are able to find ways to give you money.  Why do we do this and why do I ask for your help?

#1  The administration of Gloss Forum desires to benefit the poker community and particularly this community in more than just information.

#2  It is my personal conviction that those able to give to charities, should do so.  It is our desire to be able.  (Donation Day promotion)

#3  I see websites everywhere that have banners, few to none give money back.  We are not selfish individuals seeking to just make money off of others.  I believe that many people are tired of being viewed as just a money generator for their site.  I believe that everyone deserves a 'thank you' for helping, and, more than just a word.

#4  When we can give money back to you, you will be able to play more.  By playing more, you generate more for us to give back to you.  We are helping the economy of Gloss Poker, of our members, and the charities to which we donate.

#5  Why do you need our help?  I ask for your help because Gloss Poker will eventually be seen everywhere.  Right now, it is new and just getting known.  If our members spread the word and players sign up through this site, we continue to grow along side Gloss Poker and are able to hold bigger freerolls, donate more, have bigger promotions to benefit the live and online communities to which we belong.  I would love to be able to hold more and more donation days.  If players go through a different banner, the money goes to that site, which is fine, but, I guarantee that site is not giving back as much as we are.

#6  Do I make money?  Currently, no.  I am giving it all back at this time until there is enough generated for some compensation.  I do hope to have to pay employees to help with the needs of this community.  However, it is planned to be only a percentage; we desire to continue to give the majority back.  My benefits are:  I get to watch a community grow.  I get to continue to learn from those that share their thoughts.  I get to be able to have fun giving money away.  I get to donate money to great charities.  I get to write down all the poker information that has been floating around in my head and sort it in an organized fashion, so that (hopefully) others can benefit.

#7  Ok...this is all fine, but WHY are you giving it back, since you do not have to?  Because I believe it to be the perfect business model.  We have low overhead.  We desire to continue to have low overhead.  By giving back, we believe our members will have an easy time 'selling' this site to others.  People desire to be part of a 'giving' community.  There is no better way to advertise this site than through word of mouth.
